30/11/2012 16:38

I've done the hair, makeup and wardrobe so now its time for the nails. So today I will be showing you some nail tutorials some are easy and some are hard so try which ever one is best suited for you. By the way I found some of these ideas in the Nail Art by Klutz book and you can get it at Walmart, Toys R Us, Target, ect. It may be in the book section or crafts and arts section.

Look 1 - Mistletoe (hard)

1. Dip a toothpick in green nail polish and draw a tilted wave shape on ne side of your nail.

2. Make the same shape upside down, right under the first line. Draw the lines close with no space between them. This should look like a little leaf.

3. Now repeat the first two steps on the other side of your nail.

4. Either get a red gem and put it below the two leaves or paint one with red nail polish and a toothpick or a dotting tool.

Look 2 - Christmas Tree (easy)

1. With a toothpick or a dotting tool draw six green dots that form a triangle. You can also use jewels instead of nail polish.

2. When that drys draw a red dot on the bottom.

Look 3 - Christmas Stripes (easy)

1. Chose the coulour of your stripes I recomend red, green and white because they are Christmas coulours.

2. Paint your nails a solid coulour (mine will be white).

3. With a toothpick draw lines (my lines will e red and green). The lines can go in any direction.

4. This is optional but I will be adding stickers that look like bows to make it look like a present.

Look 4 - Chrismas Lights (hard)

1. Paint your nails a solid coulours. Try to choose a coulour that is like the sky either blue (in the day) or black (at night).

2. Add a black, white or brown line with a toothpick it can be diaganol, horisontal, verticlal or wavy. Mine is diaganal and black. This will be the string or wire that holds up your Christmas lights.

3. For the Christmas lights draw triangles on the wire with a toothpick. My Christmas lights will be blue, red, green and yellow. Draw as many as you'd like but leave a space in between each other.

Look 5 - Snow fall (easy)

1. Paint your nails a solid coulour. I recomend green, blue or red.

2. With a toothpick or a dotting tool add white dots these will be your snow.

3. If you are very good at nail art then add a snow flake. Make a dot and with a toothpick extend it to get the desired shape.

Look 6 - Santa Hats (hard)

1. With a toothpick draw a red  triangle in the center of your nail.

2. With a dotting tool or your toothpick start making white circles under the triangle.

3. Join the circles by adding more white nail polish with a toothpick.

4. To finish off your hat add a white circle over your hat.

Look 7- Christmas French Manicure (easy)

1. Paint your nails white, green or red (mine will be red).

2. Add a green, red or white horizontal line on the bottom of your nail. (Mine is green).

So there you are seven awesome nail tutorials all inspired by Christmas. Make sure to try them and wear them on Chrismas. Ps: Add a clear coat when done for a sparkily touch and so it will last longer. BY: SOFIA
