Hey everyone! Its Sofia and today i'll be giving you a brief introduction to my favorite show...DEGRASSI!

So for those of you who don't know its a Canadian show about challenges that we face in high school. Such as relationships, eating disorders, teen pregnancy, insecurities, suicide and even more. It has been nominated for Emy Awards, Gemini Awards as well as a few others . Fans find this show very relatable and honest.

The show started in the 1980's it was called " The Kids Of Degrassi Street", the name was later changed to " Degrassi Junior High" and then "Degrassi High". A few years later the show ended. However, in 2000 they started it again as "Degrassi The Next Generation''. Now the name is "Degrassi".

The main reason this show has been running for such a long time is because once the characters finish grade twelve and graduate, the bring in more kids from other grades. Therefor never running out of actors.

Speaking of actors, did you know that rap star Drake was on the show? As well as Nina Dovbre from The Vampire Diaries. Also, Shenae Grimes which is currently on the hit series 90210.

I think that everyone should watch this show because it deals with real things that happen at many high schools. It can shoiw you what not to do in certain cases and the consequences of your actions.

If you are intrested in watching and live in Canada you can watch it on Much Music ( its a TV channel) every friday at 9:00 or on MuchMusic.com. While if you live in the USA try Teen Nick (tv channel) or TeenNick.com
